Mechanical Engineering

Welcome to Mechanical Engineering Study Program, Universitas Sebelas Maret
(UNS).

The Mechanical Engineering Studies Program is an extraordinary and transformative place that provides a unique and thrilling environment for research and for advanced study, and our students are an important and valued part of the wider UNS community. Our students and lecturers are at the forefront of research being carried out for Indonesia’s development.

The research achievements of the Mechanical Engineering Program continue to increase from year to year. To assist the development of this field of knowledge, the Ministry of Education and Culture provides various instruments for processing renewable sources as grants to UNS, especially to the Mechanical Engineering Study Program. Started in 2012, the Mechanical Engineering Study Program has become part of the MOLINA National electric car development project. Two prototype electric cars have been produced. In addition, various innovations created by lecturers and students have been produced, such as composite materials with natural fibers, natural dyes, and many more. Two international awards were won in the Shell Eco Marathon Asia (SEM) which was held in Manila, Philippines. Furthermore, in 2017, the UNS Mechanical Engineering Study Program reached position 1 in SEM. The Mechanical Engineering Study Program received an International Certification from the Asean Network University Quality Assurance (AUN QA) with a validity period of 2018-2023, accredited A by the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN PT) with a validity period of 2019-2024, and accredited by the Indonesian Accreditation Board for Engineering Education (IABEE) with a validity period of 2022-2025.
